Yan was born in Pontianak, West Borneo, Indonesia. He entered the jewelry industry and was trained by his uncle at the age of 20. With over 25 years of experience, Yan is our lead goldsmith that focuses on custom design and handcrafted pieces. He is detail oriented and is passionate about keeping the craft alive. Yan won the CASE award from Jewelers of America for his 3.5-carat ruby, diamond and 18K gold handmade ring. He specializes in rings and you can see more of his work in our sunshine collection. In his spare time, he enjoys designing the layout of his freshwater fish tank and studying different species of fish.
