The jewelry redesign process kicks off with a personalized one-on-one consultation with our team. Together, we will go over your old piece to get an idea of what you like and dislike about it, and see what vision you have for a redesign.

It’s here where we will mock up a few ideas and sketches for you on ideas of what can be done. Once we’ve settled on a finalized version of the redesign, crafting it will then begin.

It’s important to note here that as much as we will try to recycle your old piece’s materials to use in the redesign, there are times where we may need to source additional materials to get the piece into it’s final form.

An example of this is with certain metals. Sometimes old pieces can contain metals that are too soft or not viable for reuse; in these cases, we will source and use new metal that’s in line with the old.

Additionally, with redesigns, you aren’t only limited to recycling old materials. We can source additional gemstones or metals to use in the new piece - the possibilities are endless.

Jewelry redesign at its core is a custom project. There are a lot of factors that can influence the lead times - from settling on the design, to sourcing any additional materials or gemstones, and so forth. With this in mind, the whole process from start to finish can take a few weeks to even longer to complete.
